Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about using Snapiai — viewing and downloading public Snapchat content without an account.
General Questions
What is Snapiai?
Snapiai is a free browser-based toolkit that lets you view and download public Snapchat content — stories, Spotlight videos, profile information and more — without needing a Snapchat account or login of any kind.
Is Snapiai free to use?
Yes. Every tool on Snapiai is completely free. There is no paid plan, no subscription and no hidden charges on any feature across the entire site.
Do I need a Snapchat account to use Snapiai?
No. None of the tools on this site require you to have a Snapchat account or log in anywhere. Just enter the username or link and the tool does the rest.
Do I need to install any app or extension?
No. Everything runs directly in your browser. No app download, no browser extension and no software installation of any kind is needed on any device.
Is Snapiai safe to use?
Yes. The site never asks for your Snapchat login, never stores your search history and never collects any personal information. You can use any tool on the site without any privacy concerns.
Privacy and Anonymity
Will the account owner know I viewed or downloaded their content?
No. Snapiai works completely anonymously. Whether you are viewing a profile, watching a story or downloading a video, the account owner receives no notification and has no way of knowing you were there.
Does Snapiai store my search history?
No. Your searches, activity and personal information are never stored or tracked on our servers at any point. Each session is completely private from start to finish.
Does Snapiai collect my IP address?
No. The site does not track or store your IP address. Your identity stays completely private throughout every visit.
Content and Access
Can I view or download private Snapchat accounts?
No. All tools on Snapiai work exclusively with public accounts. Private accounts are locked to their approved followers only and cannot be accessed through any tool on this site.
What type of Snapchat content can I access on Snapiai?
You can download public stories with the Story Downloader, save Spotlight clips with the Spotlight Downloader, keep Highlights and Snap Map content, and check public profiles anonymously — all from the same site.
Why is nothing loading after I enter a username?
The most common reason is an incorrect or misspelled username. Double check the spelling and try again. If the account is set to private, the tool will not be able to load any content either.
Can I search using a profile link instead of a username?
Yes. All tools on Snapiai accept a plain username, a username with the @ symbol in front or a full Snapchat profile link.
Device and Compatibility
Does Snapiai work on mobile?
Yes. The site works on any device including Android phones, iPhones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers. Just open any browser and the tool runs the same way on every screen.
Which browsers does Snapiai support?
The site works on all major browsers including Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. No specific browser is required and no browser extension needs to be installed.
Does Snapiai work in all countries?
Yes. There are no geographic restrictions on any tool across the site. You can access and use Snapiai from any country in the world as long as the Snapchat profile you are searching is public.
Downloads
What format do downloaded videos save in?
Videos download in MP4 format, which is compatible with almost every device, media player and platform without needing any conversion.
Will downloaded content lose quality?
No. The tools fetch the original source file from Snapchat, so the quality of what lands on your device is the same as what was originally uploaded.
Is there a limit on how many downloads I can do?
No. You can download as much content as you want from any public account. There are no daily limits and no restrictions on the number of downloads.
